Tell us about your career journey and how PwC Mauritius have supported you throughout the ACA programme.

After my studies in Mathematics, Accounting and Finance at University of Kent, I decided to start the ACA qualification part time in Mauritius.

PwC was for me the best way to start my ACA. PwC provides you with financial support towards your studies as well as support for study leave.

I have the opportunity  to work with different clients in different industries. By collaborating with experienced chartered accountants, I have been able to receive support towards my professional development - this has defintely helped me get through my ACA exams!

Why did you choose the ACA over other accounting qualifications?

The ACA is a worldwide and very well recognised qualification. Being associated with such a well known organisation, has obviously pushed me to become an ICAEW Chartered Accountant.

What reasons would you give to someone who was interested in pursuing the ACA?

The business exposure you acquire throughout your ACA is one of the key benefits. It is a challenging and demanding journey but you learn so much from your studies and your daily work with various businesses, operations and situations.

The ACA offers you an international exposure and the opportunity to be recognised as an ICAEW chartered accountant in many countries around the world. Staying focused and motivated is key to completing the ACA and gaining that international recognition.

How has the ACA helped develop your attitude, mind set and skillset?

Throughout the ACA, you always learn about the values, beliefs and ethical principles that ICAEW chartered accountants must implement in their daily life. You are motivated to be more organised and disciplined in your professional and social life.
