ICAEWs Virtual Careers Fair is an online environment connecting employers, students, teachers and parents from around the UK. It works the same way a normal fair would, but on your screen. When you register, you create a login and then you can access the fair on-demand whenever and wherever is most convenient for you. There is also a chance to interact with employers on the live day.
The live day is where the event really comes to life. You can use the chat box and Q&As to talk to employers, current students, and academics and ask all your questions. Giving you the chance to really dig deep and understand what your future could look like as an ICAEW Chartered Accountant.

Making a decision on what to do next can be really difficult. We would always recommend indulging in as much information as you can to help you decide. University or Apprenticeship, still not sure? We want to provide you with as much information as we can to make sure you make the right choice and discover what options you have with ICAEW.
Looking for opportunities after school, college or university? Find out about our training vacancies website, watch webinars on employability skills and make sure you talk with the current ACA students, tuition providers, employers and ICAEW staff that will be there on the live day. From 4 March, you’ll be able to log into the environment and visit the employer booths to find out all about the opportunities they have on offer. Take your time to do your research and then pop back on the 28 March 2019 to ask them those all important questions.

ICAEWs Virtual Careers Fair will be packed full of interesting information and insight for you and your students. There will be opportunities for you to watch webinars on a whole range of topics, some of which are designed just for teachers and parents too! You can visit all the employer exhibition stands, access information about their opportunities all throughout March and up until the Easter Holidays. But don’t forget to join us on the 28 March, when you’ll be able to network with employers live in the environment to get a personal and direct response to your own questions.
It is vital we give young people the chance to think and aspire to career goals. The ICAEW Virtual fair can help your school in meeting the Gatsby benchmarks, helping them to have encounters with employers and employees, gain access to relevant careers resources and explore potential work experience and apprenticeship opportunities. So why not let them enter the environment during lesson time?
There will be lots of webinar sessions for you to watch before the event, or get involved in the live sessions on the day of the event to ask questions to our team here at ICAEW. Sessions include;

- introduction to the Student Recruitment team and how we can work with your school/college;
- benefits of work experience and access to our dedicated toolkit;
- What do chartered accountants do;
- the importance of professional skills;
- the entry routes to the ACA; and much more.
