Members of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan (ICAP) and members, students or affiliates of other international professional bodies (such as ACCA) can study for the ACA in Pakistan.

For ICAP members the ACA is a combination of exams and ethics training. If you are an ICAP member, you will automatically be awarded credit for prior learning for 12 of the 15 ACA exam modules.
This means to qualify as an ICAEW Chartered Accountant, ICAP members need to pass the ACA’s three Advanced Level examinations and complete ICAEW’s online ethics programme.
Members, affiliates and students of ACCA may be eligible for credits for prior learning for up to 12 out of the 15 ACA exam modules.
To become an ICAEW Chartered Accountant you need to complete any remaining ACA exams, practical work experience, professional development and ethics training.
Please note, exams are also available via Remote Invigilation.
In Pakistan exams are held in Islamabad, Karachi and Lahore. All exams must be pre-booked. Details of the exam venue will be sent to you approximately two weeks before the examination date.

As a student there are exemptions available for up to 12 of the 15 ACA exams and these can be claimed by applying for Credit for Prior Learning (CPL).
As a member of another professional accountancy body, you may be eligible to join us through one of our reciprocal agreements.
If you want to train for the ACA in another country, you must ensure you are entitled to work in that country. It is your responsibility to understand what work visa you need and how to secure one. ICAEW cannot support you in this process, but your potential employer might be able to offer advice.
