Full ACA training is available in Cyprus and consists of four essential elements:
Together, these four elements give you the expertise and added-value skills that help define a chartered accountant. You must successfully complete all four elements to complete the ACA qualification and become an ICAEW Chartered Accountant.
If you hold an accounting or business related degree or a professional accountancy qualification that you completed in Cyprus, you may be eligible to exemption from some of the ACA exams.

In Cyprus exams are held in Nicosia and Limassol and all exams must be pre-booked. For Certificate Level exams you will book via your tuition provider or Pearson VUE centre. For Professional and Advanced Level exams you will book via your online training file. Admission details for your exam will be listed immediately after booking in the application summary page of your online training file.
There are a number of fees associated with completing the ACA and qualifying as a ICAEW Chartered Accountant.

The minimum academic entry requirement for ACA students is two A levels and three GCSEs or the international equivalent. Please note that the Apolytirion of Lykeion level is also accepted if you have achieved an overall score of 17/20 or 85%.
Students with associate degrees, diplomas and advanced diplomas from Cypriot tertiary education establishments may meet the minimum entry requirements and should contact ICAEW’s Student Support Team with specific details.
Students who have been awarded a level of achievement as part of their degree may also satisfy the minimum requirements and should seek further advice from ICAEW’s Student Support Team.

ICAEW is involved with events all over the world to share experiences of what a career in chartered accountancy offers and to provide advice on the different routes available to qualify.
As a student there are exemptions available for up to 12 of the 15 ACA exams and these can be claimed by applying for Credit for Prior Learning (CPL).
As a member of another professional accountancy body, you may be eligible to join us through one of our reciprocal agreements.
If you want to train for the ACA in another country, you must ensure you are entitled to work in that country. It is your responsibility to understand what work visa you need and how to secure one. ICAEW cannot support you in this process, but your potential employer might be able to offer advice.
