Why choose the ACA?

The ACA qualification is respected and valued internationally by employers across all sectors. ICAEW Chartered Accountants make a difference in organisations because the ACA is an industry leading business, accountancy and finance qualification. Our members hold influential positions around the world and are on the board of 78% of FTSE 100 companies.
Train to become a chartered accountant and gain valuable experience with organisations within the heart of Mauritius’ Global Financial Centre. Add value to the success of an organisations  with the ACA’s technical knowledge, professional skills and experience.

How is the ACA structured?

Full ACA training is available in Mauritius, combining four essential elements:

  1. exams,
  2. practical work experience,
  3. professional development, and
  4. ethics and professional scepticism.

Exams

Certificate level exams are held across Mauritius including Ebene and Port Louis.

All other exams are held in Réduit and all must be pre-booked. Details of the exam venue will be sent to you approximately two weeks before the examination date.

Together, these four elements give you the expertise and added-value skills that help define a chartered accountant. You must successfully complete all four elements to complete the ACA qualification and become an ICAEW Chartered Accountant.

Entry requirements

Graduates, school leavers and those with other professional qualifications or experience (such as ACCA or CIMA) can study for the ACA in Mauritius. There are a number of entry routes to the ACA programme, but the minimum academic entry requirement is two A levels, or the international equivalent.
