Having done well in my SPM, I found myself at the first major crossroads of my life. Before deciding on my tertiary studies, I attended a talk about the ACA, which was an eye-opener for me. 

I realised that I needed to equip myself with a better understanding of business and finance for me to succeed, no matter what career I decided to move forward with. I also realised that my life would never be the same again.

I decided to enrol myself in the CFAB leading to ACA programme, a full-time course at Sunway TES. In the process, I secured a placement as a Management Trainee at Genting Malaysia Berhad. 

Although the journey to attain the ACA was very much challenging, not forgetting the times when I had to balance between work and studies, the amazing campus environment, coupled with the ever-supportive lecturers and friends I made along the way really helped a lot.

Eight years later and with absolutely no regrets, I find myself continuously excited, motivated and fulfilled every single day. I am currently in the Corporate Affairs department and life here is ever-dynamic. 

From researching and benchmarking to building financial models to evaluate potential opportunities, my role has not only developed me into a nimbler person, but also constantly keeps me on my toes and certainly ensures that every day is just as exciting as the first.

I am always driven by the fact that I can always learn something new, push the boundaries of my understanding and add value to every project that I work on.

I have grown and developed so much as a person and look forward to contributing so much more in the years to come.
