ICAEW accredited degrees

If you want to study accountancy, finance or business at university and you are considering a career as an ICAEW Chartered Accountant, it’s worth knowing that some courses incorporate elements of the ACA. This means that when you come to study the ACA after graduation you might not have to complete all the modules.

Benefits

  1. Real-world application

Gain professional knowledge while studying a degree

  2. Qualify faster

Get a head start on qualifying as an ICAEW Chartered Accountant

  3. Start strong

Enjoy a starting salary of up to £30,000

How it works

ICAEW is working with universities all over the world to grant credit for prior learning (also known as exemptions) for relevant content covered in undergraduate and postgraduate degrees.

Once you have finished your degree you will only have to complete any outstanding modules, the compulsory practical work experience element of the ACA and demonstrate your ethical and professional development, to qualify as an ICAEW Chartered Accountant.

The knowledge, skills and experience you gain as part of your training agreement gives you the opportunity to put what you’re learning into practice.

How to secure a training agreement

Training internationally

If you want to train for the ACA in another country, you must ensure you are entitled to work in that country. It is your responsibility to understand what work visa you need and how to secure one. ICAEW cannot support you in this process, but your potential employer might be able to offer advice.
