New Gen Accountants (NGA) are committed to providing individuals from underrepresented backgrounds with the knowledge needed to pursue a career in accountancy.
They were launched in November 2018 when a group of forward-thinking accountants were passionate about ensuring the accountancy profession accurately reflected the society we live in; including all races, classes and backgrounds.
The diversity champion is an ACA student or a recently qualified member. They are part of a network of 10 other regional champions actively involved in promoting diversity amongst schools, colleges/universities and other ICAEW regional networking events.
Diversity champions have a shared passion in improving the diversity of the profession, raising awareness of diversity issues to members in their region and representing ICAEW’s Diversity Advisory Group.
