School careers advisers
If your students are interested in a career in business and have the ambition and drive to succeed, find out how ICAEW can help you to give them the support they need to become a chartered accountant.
Competition in business is fierce, with organisations of all sizes relying on the skill and expertise of their accountants. Achieving ‘chartered’ status means being at the top of the profession, which means the advice chartered accountants give is vital to the success of any organisation.
Why the ACA?
In today’s employment market, qualifications, skills and experience are what set applicants apart. Choosing the right professional qualification after school or university will make sure your students get the best chance of success throughout their career.
The ACA is a professional business and finance qualification, which gives students the opportunity to learn while in full-time employment. Students can start training after school, college, university or after a qualification such as the AAT. Depending on when they start to train, it will take between three to five years to qualify as a chartered accountant.
The ACA allows students to combine practical experience with technical knowledge and exams. This means they will earn a competitive salary at the same time as gaining their professional qualification.
