ICAEW Student Scheme

All students at university – no matter what course they are studying or where they are – are able to join ICAEW’s Student Scheme (USS). The programme offers students interested in a career in business access to resources to boost their employability and the option to study the ICAEW’s Certificate in Finance, Accounting and Business (ICAEW CFAB).

The ICAEW Student Scheme (USS) is designed to help you develop the workplace skills employers in the finance, accounting and business sectors are looking for.

Whether you want to enhance your CV, access additional resources to support your university studies, or simply stand out from your peers in job applications, USS can help you.

Contract ion

A stepping stone to ACA - ICAEW CFAB

After joining USS, you can begin studying ICAEW CFAB for free*. ICAEW CFAB provides students with an understanding of business and is made up of the first six ACA modules. If you are studying a finance-related degree, you may be able to claim exemptions for some of the exams.

Job essential skills

USS provides you with access to a range of webinars, presentations, videos and help sheets which cover topics, such as: commercial awareness, business English, CV tips, presentation skills and interview techniques. These will help you develop skills vital for any career.

Microsoft Excel training

Joining USS gives you free membership to ICAEW’s Excel Community (normal cost £60 +VAT) and you’ll be able to access a Microsoft Excel online training programme. After you've taken an Excel iQ test to find out your ability level, you can access video tutorials, progress tests, webinars, blogs and technical updates.
